I've been doing crossfit for about 6 months, so I'm a relative noob in that regard. What I'm not new to is having ample quads, hammies, and glutes. It seems like no one gets the concept that not all folks have thin legs and thick waists. Also, some ladies want an inseam longer than an inch, while enjoying a slightly higher waist, for a tailored look. I feel like I've found my "forever" shorts in barbell apparel chino shorts. My only qualm is that while the stretch and lay of the material is spot on, it's a bit fuzzy/static-clingy and attracts people hair, animal fur, and any other dust in the vicinity. Not a huge deal if you have a lint roller, but it would be cool to have a somewhat smoother texture.
As far as sizing goes, I used the measurement chart to ensure I had the right size and the waist ended up still being a tad too big. Still a vast improvement from any other shorts I've tried, and I'm not complaining that these are a tad loose rather than too tight--just means I get to move down a size for my next order. :)
