A superior design. The white design work helps with grip too. In Barbell Apparel we trust!
Great fit and very comfortable. Will absolutely be getting additional pairs.
I loved the Adapt short already, but this version with belt loops is even better. You can ignore the belt loops as needed, or use a belt when you want to. I appreciate this feature a lot for the items I often carry on my belt (fixed blade knife & gun). Having the option to carry EDC items on the waistband with a 1.5 " belt on 'workout' shorts is a missing link in tactical gear. Thank you Barbell!
For sizing, I bought both a large and medium and they both fit. The large is a little looser but not too loose. I wear pants in the 32-34 range and medium most of the time, but I have some Barbell items in L also.
I was thinking that I wanted shorter shorts. I previously bought 5" inseam shorts from a popular brand and rolled the waist band up. Then Barbell Apparel dropped these shorts. The listed size chart was accurate. The large shorts sit great on me, and have enough stretch to accommodate my quads. the pockets have zippers, which is great for making sure my phone does not fall out of my shorts when walking around.
The inner pocket is great for a small set of keys or the AirPods case.
Honestly I bought 3 pairs, and then realized I keep wearing them, and bought one more.
I am ready for them to drop additional colors.
100% BUY.
I own two of these now. They look super nice. The material is crazy thin and feels cool and light. They look good and are flattering but not crazy - I only wear them in the most professional settings.
My phone fits in all of the pockets. The back pocket is perfect for keeping the phone handy during sandbag work, as it won't get crushed. I run and train and in these, and wear them around the house.
The material is extremely thin but somehow really tough.
All the pockets have zippers so they are down for whatever kind of activity you do.
The shorts are perfect. They're comfortable, stylish, they look and feel good. My wife thinks I look great in them.
I like wearing gym shorts out but I don't like looking homeless, so these are perfect - way more formal, with all the benefits of being shorts.
Great pockets too.
My favorite and only shorts for anything other than actually working out in.
Bought these as a lightweight flexible pant to wear during 3-gun matches. These pants are comfortable, fit great, and allow me to move freely without any tightness when kneeling, climbing, laying down, etc. For reference I am 6 feet tall and weigh 208lbs. I purchased size 34 and they fit great. I bought another couple pairs in varying colors because the first pair impressed me so much. 10/10 would recommend.
Super comfy. Typical don't wear such fitted jeans but are like butter. Had to size up in length and the exchange was painless!! Highly recommend
I'm what you'd call athletically cursed. Six-foot-two, 190 pounds, with thighs that could crack walnuts and a butt that has its own gravitational pull. I've got a 32-inch waist, which sounds reasonable until you realize it's attached to haunches that belong in a nature documentary.
Shopping for jeans is like trying to solve a physics problem that God designed as a practical joke. The pants either fit my waist and turn my legs into sausage casings, or they fit my thighs and I look like I'm smuggling pillows. There's no middle ground - just the sound of fabric surrendering to forces beyond its understanding. I've accepted that I'll never sit down gracefully. Every chair is a potential crime scene, every pair of pants a ticking time bomb. The dry cleaner knows me by name, mostly because I keep bringing him evidence of my ongoing war with basic human furniture.
But i'm gonna tell you something about these jeans from Barbell Apparel, and I want you to listen carefully because this is important. These are the greatest pair of jeans I've ever tried on. These jeans, they sit on me like... well, like they were made for me, highlighting my quads and glutes, which is great because in this household, skipping leg day was never an option.
The knees are fitted, which I greatly appreciate because baggy knees on pants just look wrong. And the boot cut flare? It's tasteful. Not too much, not too little. Just enough to say, "Hey, I'm a man who wears pants with a slight flare." Very macho. Very sophisticated.
But let's talk about how they feel, because that's where things get interesting. I can do a deep squat in these things - ankles to hamstrings - and the jeans don't complain once. I can run, I can go up stairs, I can sit however I want. It's almost illegal how comfortable they are. And I've worn a lot of jeans in my day, believe me. Most of them feel like wearing a straightjacket made of denim.
Then there’s the gusset situation. For those who don’t know, it means your family jewels actually have room to breathe. When you've got legs like tree trunks from all that not-skipping-leg-day, your gentleman's area doesn't have a lot of room to operate. Regular jeans squeeze everything together like a vise, and you end up walking around like you're in a Charlie Chaplin movie. But these pants? It's like they built a little penthouse for the boys. Five-star accommodations.
I just love the gusset—the inseam where all my old jeans cried uncle and ripped? These things are tough as nails and merge durability with comfort.
So if you're out there - and I know you are - if you're a guy with an itty bitty waist, long legs, thighs like tree trunks and a butt that could have its own zip code, well, your prayers have been answered.
I wish I'd found Barbell Apparel sooner, because from now on, I'm only buying pants from you. It's like finding out there's been a really good restaurant in your neighborhood the whole time, but you've been eating at the terrible place next door for twenty years.
Barbell, you’ve got my heart (and my butt) forever. Oh, and for the curious: I went with 32x34.
Had been searching for jeans that fit me well while allowing me to be plenty active to boot. These hit the mark spot on. They're so good I bought two pairs.
I have found that most of the barbell shirts run small, but this runs true to size. Fits and looks great. Very comfortable and great looking shirt
Bought it since it was a good price on surplus section. Love it so far and might buy another. Great office shirt for those hot days
Bought on surplus sale and glad I did. Went back and got the other color.
Really good fit/look and super comfortable. Need to buy more colors
Great shorts for running. Pair them with some compression shorts and your great to run any distance.
I’ve been wearing these shorts almost everyday for 2 weeks now and absolutely love them. Light, breathable, and with just the right amount of stretch. Great gusted crotch for additional range of motion. I wear them for both working out as well as casually out and about. Also work great in the golf course.
Great fit and looks awesome. The extra stretch is a bonus. Highly recommend
Great fit and looks good in the office or walking around town. Highly recommend
Great polo with a cool design. Love wearing it for golf or just casually on the weekends
Awesome and light feeling polo for summer. I like to take a walk at lunch and even on an 84 degree day, it's breathable and I don't sweat like crazy.
Definitely some of the most comfortable training pants. I use them for Oly lifting. Like the name suggests ultra light so you don't get too hot even as it's getting warmer out!
Great fit and feel. Makes this grandpa look jacked.
